SESTRI LEVANTE – It is a pretty town in the province of Genoa; it directly overlooks the splendid and crystalline Ligurian Sea, and has a particular conformation: it is in fact located on a promontory that divides the Gulf of Tigullio into two parts, on one side the Bay of Silence and on the other the Bay of Fables. Today Sestri Levante is a renowned tourist centre, but it has not always been like this: it is less than a century since the town, which has always been a charming fishing village, has renewed its image, thanks also to some important redevelopments and the construction of many accommodation facilities that are perfectly capable of welcoming hundreds and hundreds of tourists.
MONEGLIA - It is a small village nestled between two headlands, between the intense blue of the sea and the very green mountains. The town is closed on both sides by two castles: the 12th century Monleone fortress and the Renaissance Villafranca Castle, open to the public. In the middle, the typical seaside village of Moneglia is made up of narrow alleys and slate roofs.
Moneglia has always expressed a serene beauty accompanied by a pleasant climate. According to some, the name Moneglia derives from the Latin "monilia" monile, that is, something rare and precious, an ornament of nature. This seaside resort extends in a cozy, serene, human-scale space. The classic place where, starting from the fine sand of the beach, you arrive in just two steps, to the shops, to the many clubs, or, simply, to the pleasantly cool and restful protective shade of the porticoes.
