What license do you need to have to rent a scooter?

  • 50 cc mopeds. – Adults with an A or B license can rent mopeds.
  • Motorcycle up to 125 cc. – They can rent motorcycles up to 125 cc. adults with an A or B driving licence.
  • Motorcycles over 125 cc. – They can rent motorcycles over 125 cc. adults with an A driving licence.

Is the rental holder obliged to communicate the name of the driver?

Yes, he has the obligation.

Can the final price be different from the estimated one?

The initial cost includes services which by their nature can be modified; for example refueling the vehicle, returning it to a different place, any fines, etc.

Are there insurance coverages?

The scooter rental rates include the civil liability insurance required by law (R.C.A), and theft and fire coverage with a deductible equal to 20% of the value of the vehicle.

Are there any deductibles?

Yes. There are deductibles relating to damage, fire and theft.

When and how is the rental paid?

The calculation of the amount due and the related payment takes place at the beginning of the rental, and can be made by cash or credit card (NO CHECKS). Credit card details are required as a security deposit.

Where can I rent a scooter?

At one of our agencies (see map on the "home" page) or by having the vehicle delivered directly to your home, or to the place indicated by you (delivery in Genova is available only at hotels).

When must the rented vehicle be returned?

At the end of the period set at the time of rental. A rental day is considered 24 hours (starting from the moment of delivery) with a tolerance of 1 hour. After this time, an additional day of rental will be charged. The return is scheduled during office hours. Outside office hours there is a charge of Euro 15.00.

Can the rental be extended?

Yes, upon notification to the agency at least 3 hours before returning the vehicle, provided that the same vehicle has not already been booked.

Yes, it is necessary to return them with a full tank of fuel.

What should be done in the event of an accident?

The incident must be reported to one of our agencies within 24 hours. The driver must complete the C.I.D. form in its entirety in order to take advantage of the R.C.A. coverage.

Can I have a scooter as a replacement?

The customer who needs a replacement vehicle will be able to obtain one from the agency subject to availability. However, the agency may, at its sole discretion, not grant a replacement vehicle.

What should I do in case of a fine?

The fine resulting from the driver's behavior is borne by the driver himself who is required to pay it immediately or, if unable, to promptly notify the agency in order to avoid the application of the surcharges foreseen in the event of late payment.
In the event of a specific request from the police force, the motorbike rental company is obliged to provide the name of the driver who will receive notification of the fine for payment. If the fine is notified to LIGURENT for the customer's failure to pay promptly, it will in turn be notified to the signatory of the contract, who will in all respects be solely responsible, relieving LIGURENT of any liability.

What should be done if the keys are lost?

Custody of the keys is the responsibility of the customer. In case of loss, you will be charged a charge of Euro 250.00 (excluding VAT).

What should be done in case of loss of documents?

The custody of the documents is the responsibility of the customer. In case of loss, you will be charged a charge of Euro 180.00 (VAT included) for mopeds, of Euro 350.00 (VAT included) for motorcycles.

Is it possible to use the rented vehicle outside of Italian territory?

No. The circulation of our vehicles is only possible in Italian territory.
